We do not recommend using Zout on any non-colourfast dyed fabrics and some fabrics that are lined. The lining may shrink if handwashed. |

Can Zout® stain remover be used on carpet or upholstery? |

We do not suggest using Zout on upholstery or carpet because, as a super concentrated surfactant based product, it needs to rinse thoroughly. When not rinsed properly, soap will collect dirt. If Zout has been used on upholstery or carpet, rinse until no soapsuds appear using a wet/dry vacuum or a carpet/upholstery cleaning machine. |

Why has my Zout® stain remover turned yellow? Is it tainted or ruined? |

Zout will yellow slightly over time. Its efficiency, power and safety have not changed. |

A number of spills on carpets or upholstery will cause stains or leave offensive odours. 20 Mule Team® Borax can help on a few of these problem stains. Before treating carpet or upholstery, test an unexposed area with a 20 mule Team Borax paste to make sure the dye is colourfast to spot treatment. Urine odours may be neutralized by dampening the spot and sprinkling 20 Mule Team Borax over it. Rub the borax into the areas and let dry. Brush or vacuum to remove the dry borax. |

Why does dry detergent cake? |
